Dental Fillings

Today, there are a lot of excellent options available for filling damaged or decayed teeth.

We can use traditional materials like gold, base metal alloys and dental amalgam, which have the durability and strength that make them useful for areas such as in the back teeth, where they’re out of the “smile line” (out of sight) and where chewing pressures are strongest.

Or we can go with one of the newer composite types, which lets you consider such variables as color, durability, cost and longevity.

Your Vital Smiles professional will discuss the various choices with you to decide which dental filling material will best suit your child.

Dental fillings, like most of our other procedures, are covered by Medicaid, ALL Kids and most dental insurance.
